Today is Easter and HE is risen! Let's hope the scale doesn't rise too. If you're like me, holidays are tough. There's always food, snacks and candy in plain sight calling out your name…"Tracie, you want to eat me. Your diet can start tomorrow."weight watchers points for easter candy

Except, I'm not on a diet. Nothing gets to start tomorrow. Lifestyle changes happen over time and incorporate every second of the day. Every choice that I make is either for or against my lifestyle change. Habits are hard to create, but they do happen over time. My food choices count every second of every day.

If I want candy, I have it. But, I count it and track it in my Weight Watchers points program. Here are a few of my favorite Easter candies, including their Weight Watchers points. The list in order of my favorites, but please don't send me any. They'll melt before I get them anyway.

I have to admit, I'm a sucker for Cadbury Creme Eggs. That's why I only buy one or two during Easter. They're way too dangerous to have laying around the house. I'm also a huge fan of black jelly beans. They're not easy to come by after April so I do stock up when I can snag them for under $1 a bag.

If you have left over chocolate be sure to donate it, bring it to work or freeze it in the freezer. The best place to freeze it is in your garage freezer if you have one. Otherwise,  stick it in the back of your freezer where you can't see it. If you find that you're desperate for chocolate, you'll have to play a bit of hide-and-seek. But, it's better than making a run for the grocery store and grabbing ten of your favorites because you're on a binge.
